SIXTH FORMERS SUPPORT FOOD BANK

Sixth Formers at Prince Henry’s have been collecting food to help a local food bank which covers the local and surrounding area. In partnership with the food bank, the Year 12 students have been working with their fellow Sixth Form students to colleact donations.

“We wanted to help members of our community who may be finding it difficult to provide for their family at this time of the year. We realise that at Christmas time there can be extra financial pressures, so we wanted to help out.” said Ollie Hodgson, Year 12.

“We are really grateful to all our Sixth Form students, who have brought in so many donations, and the organising group have done brilliantly. The Christmas Food Bank Project is a part of the ASDAN Level 3 in Personal Effectiveness which allows young people to build the skills they will need as they prepare for future study or work.” said Mrs Robinson-Junni, Student Leadership and Post-16 Manager.
