The First XV rugby team at Prince Henry’s Grammar School in Otley are celebrating after they won a hard fought match against St Edward’s College in Liverpool 5 points to 3, to go forward to the National Quarter Finals of the RFU Schools’ Bowl.

The RFU Schools' Bowl is a national competition which begins with a four-round regional competition, ending in a regional final. The last time Prince Henry's made this much progress, they went on to win the 2003 Vase at Twickenham with Danny Care.

The team will be playing Ravens Wood School on the pitch at Prince Henry's at 1.30pm on Wednesday 6 Decmeber 2017.

“The team fought hard in windy conditions to win. They showed a lot of character and commitment to the Prince Henry’s badge. We are very proud of them and looking forward to taking on Ravens Wood in the Quarter Finals.” said Gareth Newman, PE teacher and 1st XV Coach.

This is the furthest a team from Prince Henry’s has gone since 2003.
