WE ARE OUTSTANDING!
Prince Henry’s Grammar School, one of the founding partners of the Collaborative Learning Trust, is outstanding in all areas! Following the recent Ofsted visit at the start of November, we are delighted to share with you the published report which celebrates the achievements of students and staff and is very well-deserved. We could not be more proud of the whole school community who impressed the inspectors consistently over the 2 day visit. We received five ‘Outstanding’ judgements from Inspectors, including for the Sixth Form provision.
The report has many highlights, which include ‘pupils and staff are proud to be part of this exceptional community. Staff have high expectations of everyone. Pupils are resilient and hard working. The school provides high-quality academic and pastoral support for all. Because staff are supportive, caring and passionate, pupils thrive. Students (in the Sixth Form) are encouraged to be independent and ambitious. The school positively shapes young people’s lives and inspires them for future success’.
Headteacher Sally Bishop said “To hear the many accolades was moving. To have our values of honesty, kindness, confidence, independence, ambition and resilience quoted back at us in spades was amazing in describing our whole community. To hear that we have ‘phenomenal staff and practices which are worthy of sharing with other schools’ was humbling. Although there are no real areas for development featured in the report, we are not complacent, and we have taken note of one or two potential areas on which to focus and will continue to make our school even better.”
With such positive endorsements about the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and the sixth form, Prince Henry’s is joining a very elite group of schools who share similar ratification.
Inspectors added “What the school offers pupils outside of the academic and vocational curriculum is remarkable in its breadth and ambition. The school has a skilled and committed staff body. Parents and carers praise the care and attention given to pupils at the school and students in the sixth form”.
"Huge congratulations to the whole community and a massive thank you to parents for sharing your feedback. We did this! Prince Henry’s is officially outstanding across the board. We hope you share our pride."
