Pathways

At Prince Henry’s, you can choose to take part in optional ‘Pathway’ support for students intending to study particular subjects or take particular routes after Sixth Form.  These are routes where specific super-curricular activities including work experience are particularly useful and starting preparing for this early in Year 12 can be really helpful.  The Pathways support options are:

  • Professional Academic Pathway – Medicine/Dentistry/Veterinary Science
  • Professional Academic Pathway – Oxford/Cambridge
  • Professional Vocational Pathway – Apprenticeships at every level
  • Professional Sport Pathway – Elite Sports (ESEP) programme
  • Professional Vocational Pathway – Law
  • Professional Vocational Pathway – Teaching

Each group requires a slightly different approach and our tailored pathway support will help students wishing to explore these options to make the most of their time in Year 12 and to complete successful applications in Year 13.  Some Pathway groups meet regularly throughout the year, others are encouraged to take part in specific enrichment or volunteering opportunities in order to gain the right skills to maximise their chances of successful transition at the end of Year 13.
