PSHE Life Skills Support
Alongside our programme of both mental and physical health support and our equality and diversity work, we cover a wide range of life skills in our PSHE and wider curriculum sessions.
These can range from very practical skills for moving out of home (looking after clothes, managing rent, building furniture and cooking), to presentation and interview skills or workplace skills such as professional conduct, time management or how unions work, to thinking carefully about personal relationships and personal safety in different situations.
We encourage students to consider all aspects of personal safety, from in-person safety to online safety, as well as thinking about the impact of their social media activity on potential future employment, as well as mental health. We include the more positive elements of online life such as social support and digital branding, as we, and our students, navigate the changing online landscape.
Students will find that engaging with this wider curriculum, alongside their Pathway Support, will help prepare them for a more independent life as they grow through, and beyond, Sixth Form.
