Apprenticeships
As the number of apprenticeships at every level grows, many of our students choose this route, rather than a degree. Our Sixth Form Team are experienced in helping students decide which route to follow and how to make sure that they are at the forefront of any applications, having having hate skills and attitudes which employers value.
Some of our students who follow this route choose to take an additional level 3 qualification in Personal Effectiveness from ASDAN. The Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) is a substantial, nationally recognised Level 3 qualification in skills development. It enables students to practise, develop and demonstrate six important skills that are required for success in higher education, training or employment: teamwork, problem solving, discussion, research, oral presentation and self-management. These students run independent projects during the year, which include a campaign to encourage students and families to donate to the Otley Food Bank.
