    About me:  I began my teaching career at Harrogate High School in 2011 as a newly qualified teacher.  During my time at the school, I developed a wealth of knowledge in a range of different areas when leading on whole school priorities as an Assistant Head Teacher.

    I joined Prince Henry's Grammar School in April 2022 as the Assistant Head Teacher for Learning Support and, as part of this role, I am also the Careers Leader. I have strategic responsibility for the careers programme and work alongside a full-time careers advisors to drive our careers programme across the school.  Careers is an area that I have a wealth of experience in, having led in this area in my previous school for six years. In this role, I work passionately to develop provision to ensure that students are well prepared for the next stage of their lives.  In order to do this, it is essential that I continue to work with careers experts and business leaders in the Otley and wider areas.

    About me: I have been working at the school for 23 years, and have been a level 4 qualified advisor since 2013.  I am passionate about careers education and strive to ensure that students develop a sound understanding of the world of work, together with the opportunities, routes and pathways available, allowing equality of opportunity for all.  During my time at Prince Henry’s, I have supported students into a range of destinations, supported students in their next steps after Y11, onto A-Levels, into Further Education or into apprenticeships.  As part of our careers programme I facilitate events such as the careers fair, enterprise days and pathways days.  There has never been a more exciting time to be working in careers education.
