    Testing

    Home Testing

If you have completed a home test, please inform school of the result via this form.

We would like students to continue testing twice a week on a Sunday evening (or before school on Monday Morning) and also on a Wednesday evening (or before school on Thursday morning).

If you are using the new Flowflex Lateral Flow tests, the up to date testing leaflet is here. Or you can watch this video, which explains the process of using the Flowflex lateral flow tests.

Please note the following important information regarding storage of the test kits:

Store the test kit at room temperature or in a cool dry place (2°C to 30°C). Do not leave in direct sunlight and do not store in a fridge or freezer. The kit should be used at room temperature (15°C to 30°C). If the kit has been stored in a cool area (less than 15°C), leave it at normal room temperature for 30 minutes before using.

What should you do after the home lateral flow test?

Each time your child completes a test, you need to report their test result to NHS Test and Trace, and also to Prince Henry’s through this link. This includes all test results, whether positive, negative or void. You will receive a text or email from NHS Test & Trace confirming that you have reported your test result.

If your child tests positive for Coronavirus using a Lateral Flow Test, your child must not attend school. You and your household members should follow government guidance. You should also arrange for your child to have a follow-up PCR test as soon as possible here. If the follow-up PCR test result is positive, your child must continue to self-isolate in line with the guidance. If the follow-up PCR test result is negative, your child can stop self-isolating and return to school.

If the result of the test is unclear (void) your child will need to do another test. If the next test is also void, they should take a PCR test. You can book or order a PCR test here.

Please remember that a negative result does not guarantee that you are not carrying the virus. Therefore, your child should continue to follow the protocols laid out in the Return to School 2021 booklet here.
